Popp calls for calm after initial Olympic win: “The USA is a different beast.”

German women’s national team trainer Horst Hrubesch and squad captain Alexandra Popp were all smiles following a 3-0 victory over Australia on Thursday evening in which their team performed exceptionally well in all areas.  The veteran Popp nevertheless warned of the perils of reading too much into the victory, particularly in light of the next opponent awaiting “Team Deutschland”.
