Milan put Nkunku up for sale, months after buying him from Chelsea
Christopher Nkunku’s high-profile move to Milan has taken a sharp turn for the worse, with the Frenchman now officially considered “on the market” just months after his permanent move from Chelsea.
According to a report by Daniele Longo for Calciomercato, the club’s board are far from convinced by his impact at San Siro.
Despite a huge investment to secure him from London in 2025, Nkunku has reportedly failed to meet the Rossoneri board’s tactical and physical expectations.
The refusal to continue with him is described as final, forcing the club to seek an immediate exit strategy for the striker.
Milan are now hoping for a solution from his representative, powerful agent Pini Zahavi.
Recent contacts have been made to urge Zahavi to find a suitable buyer, ideally during the January transfer window, to prevent Nkunku’s value from further diminishing while he remains on the bench.
While the transfer was initially seen as a key signing for the post-Giroud era, it quickly turned into a costly mistake that the club are keen to rectify.
The priority now is to find a club willing to take on Nkunku’s wages and offer a deal that allows Milan to move forward.
