15.30 Kickoffs: Bayern survive surprising test from Hertha, Leipzig and Wolfsburg maintain momentum

Manuel Neuer. In the quest to top the Bundesliga table over the World Cup break, defending champions FC Bayern München have done their bit with a 3-2 win over Hertha BSC. Union Berlin must answer back with a win against Leverkusen tomorrow in order to reclaim top-spot.  There were no draws in a throughly entertaining set of four other simultaneous 15:30 kickoffs. Dortmund, Frankfurt, Wolfsburg, and Leipzig emerged as the sides capable of claiming three points at the start of the Bundesliga’s packed “English Week”.
