Kimmich “furious” after the loss against Barcelona: It wasn’t for 4-1
Bayern’s Champions League loss was heart breaking. On Wednesday night, Munich team lost 4-1 in Barcelona. After the game, Joshua Kimmich was critical of himself.
“The outcome is undoubtedly quite evident. Even though we got off to a bad start after giving up an early goal, the first half was not close. We were fully there after 1:1. In a “DAZN” interview, the midfielder said, “Then we get a very unfortunate 2-1.You could see the arm was on him,” Kimmich said in reference to the alleged foul on Minjae Kim prior to the second goal. You feel less stressed when you dance. All you need is a little push. It seems more like foul play to me.
“I think the game was not for 4-1, but it was still a deserved loss,” the 29-year-old said, despite the fact that the outcome was really profound. We did not seem very clean on the field. Both teams played extremely freely. High pressure had been put by both parties. “We did some hara-kiri,” concluded Kimmich .
After three games in this new Champions League format, Bayern is in a very bad position, having only accumulated three of nine potential points. The Bavarians’ next Champions League matchup is against Benfica at “Allianz Arena” on November 6, where winning is more than simply a requirement.
