Lamine Yamal is absent from Spain after medical intervention
Barcelona talent Lamine Yamal will be absent from the current Spanish national team squad after an unexpected medical procedure was carried out without prior notice to the team’s medical staff.
The medical services of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) expressed their surprise and dissatisfaction after being informed on November 10, the day of the start of the official squad, that the 17-year-old had undergone an invasive radiofrequency procedure to treat pubic problems that had troubled him this season.
The details of the intervention were only revealed in the evening, through a report received at 10:40 p.m., which recommended a 7-10-day rest.
Putting the player’s health and well-being first, the RFEF decided to release Yamal from the squad, giving him sufficient time to recover.
