Liverpool triumphs convincingly at the Velodrome against Marseille

Liverpool recorded a big away win over Olympique Marseille, triumphing 0-3 at the Velodrome Stadium.
The English team started the match strongly and in the 23rd minute scored through Hugo Ekitike, but the goal was canceled after a review by VAR.
The lead was concreted at the end of the first half, when Dominik Szoboszlai scored a beautiful goal from a free kick in the 45th minute, giving Liverpool the lead.
In the second half, “The Reds” continued to control the game and in the 73rd minute doubled the score, when after an assist from Frimpong, Marseille goalkeeper, Rulli, scored an own goal.
In the extra minutes, Cody Gakpo sealed the victory with the third goal, giving Liverpool a convincing success in France.
With this victory, Liverpool climbs to fourth place with 15 points, while in the next match they will host Qarabag at Anfield. On the other hand, Marseille remains in 19th place with nine points, while in the last round they will play away against Club Brugge.
