Real Madrid informs star player that he could leave in the summer
Real Madrid star David Alaba has been told by the club’s board that he will not be available for the 2026/27 season.
This comes for a number of reasons. The main one is the fact that Alaba’s contract in the Spanish capital expires next summer.
In addition, long-term injury problems and inconsistent form when he is ready to play have made him an expendable player in Xabi Alonso’s squad.
According to a report from Fichajes: “David Alaba has started the countdown to his departure from Real Madrid, a decision that the club has already communicated to both the player and Xabi Alonso.”
At this point, the Middle East is considered the most likely destination for the 33-year-old Alaba.
Several Saudi Pro League clubs have even gone so far as to put big-money offers on the table for the former Bayern Munich player and his representatives.
